The DesignPro Renewables technical team visited SEENEOH in Bordeaux this week to check in on the progress and development of the build ahead of the upcoming deployment of our 25kW device. Project plans are moving swiftly forward and the installation is on schedule for this September. SEENEOH has provided great support on the build of the integrated platform, which is being constructed in the company’s workshops in France. The platform will simplify onsite operations & maintenance procedures for the duration of the testing.

The team will travel to Bordeaux again in September to support deployment procedures including onsite assembly, mooring and grid connection. The turbines will be assembled to the platform on a dry dock before being towed to the designated test location for mooring and grid connection. The technology will undergo extensive environmental and operational testing during its testing phase as part of our Horizon 2020 SME Instrument funded project. In addition, power outputs will be closely monitored in order to officially validate and certify the company’s power curves to internationally recognised Bureau Veritas standards. In conjunction with this testing, we are also in the Design process for our next, larger 60kW machine.
